Technical Due Diligence

Independent technical scrutiny, allowing you to invest and acquire with conviction, or act with clarity where there’s risk.

Risk is often invisible until it’s expensive.

We give investors and acquirers an independent, evidence-based view of a target’s technology, team, and ability to deliver against the thesis.

How it works

The Key Questions of Due Diligence

Our involvement in investments is typically between seed and Series B, for which you’ll receive a clear written report: findings separated from opinion, the issues that matter ranked by impact, and a plain-English view of what each means for your decision.

How we fit into your process

  • Clear costs and timelines upfront,
  • Consistent updates throughout due diligence,
  • Data-room material handled with care,
  • Structured reporting and review calls, with red flags and key considerations discussed in detail.
  • Does the target offer what it says?

If a solution has already been built, can it deliver upon what it says it can, and demonstrate the results it promises?

  • Does the target have scope for scale?

Does the solution have any inhibitors to growth, and does the target’s team capabilities align with the proposed next steps?

  • Does the target have defensibility?

Is there any form of established moat or means of defensibility and protection, particularly in a world of AI, that protects the target?

  • Does the target take security seriously?

Are resilience, data protection, governance, and security processes well considered and implemented into the target? Optionally, we can incorporate penetration testing into reporting.

  • What are the red flags?

Wha are the key risks to the business and subsequently to your investment, that must be considered as part of the deal?

How we collaborate

Partnership beyond completion

Once a transaction completes, that doesn’t mark the end of the process. We often continue to work with funds post-investment, either in an advisory capacity or as a fractional Chief Technology Officer.

We can work with you and the target on the deployment of capital and ensure that funds allocated to tech are used to support stability and scaling.

Particularly in early-stage investments, we can take a hands-on role in the day-to-day technical operations of the business, either on a short-term basis whilst a permanent Chief Technology Officer is sourced, or on an ongoing fractional basis.

No two deals are the same.

Good technical decisions take thought, context, and experience.

If you are exploring what the next move should be, we can help you get there with clarity and confidence.
