Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making embeddable.co.uk usable by everyone, measured against WCAG 2.2 level AA.
Our commitment
We want everyone who visits embeddable.co.uk to be able to use it, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This website is designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we’ve done
- Text and interface colours meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to main content” link.
- The sticky header never covers the element you’ve moved to.
- Pages use a logical heading structure and meaningful link text.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Forms have visible labels, and errors are explained in text and announced to screen readers.
- Animation is kept to a minimum and switches off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The site reflows to a single column on small screens and supports zoom up to 400%.
Known issues
The Tees Valley Digital Innovation Survey report (a PDF) and the Discovery Framework (a Miro board) are not fully accessible and may not work well with screen readers. If you need either in another format, email us and we’ll provide one.
How we test
Every page is checked with automated testing (axe-core, against WCAG 2.2 levels A and AA) at desktop and phone widths, along with checks of heading structure, reflow and colour contrast.
